The American Society of Landscape Architects sent a letter to the President concerning the oil spill.
It always amazes me how many different facets landscape architects contribute to. It’s a profession that has always been relevant (think: Central Park and Yosemite) but I believe it will continue to grow because of disasters like this and also thanks to a growing awareness of environmental concerns.
In my opinion, landscape architects should be on a group of “first-responders” to an environmental disaster, remediation, or even a new project. Now if only I could find a job doing it.
